I think I’ve underestimated how long it will take all these pieces to gel. The way things look a month from now will hopefully be significantly smoother. A lot of new. Heard a good interview with former UGA QB Aaron Murray about the ND loss to Marshall and he said all off-season you focus on your first opponent (for the Irish, The OSU; for us, Maryland of course) and there can be a letdown and lack of focus going into Week Two. I’m willing to believe that’s the case here.
Very Nice article. However, don’t you think between last year and this year it’a unacceptable, given that Coach Mo took over a ranked team with tons of talent? He turned it into 4 losses and a portal party. Seems to me like he’s a great recruiter but a poor coach…
The lack of defensive adjustments was terrible. Nobody on defense seemed to be assigned to covering the dual threat QB. How many plays do you have to give up massive amounts of yards before you adjust? I'm not getting a good impression of the new DC.
There's lots of doomers that came out of the woodwork yesterday. I think this team can turn things around, this year even, but that loss sucks.
