Great recap of the game. I think that we get a better feel for the team will do in conference after the HC game. Hoping the injuries aren't severe, though I wonder if the heat was getting to the players in the second half. It was very hot out there.

On a similar note, I took a picture of the west side after I saw your picture of the east side on Twitter. Not much better, but the cloud cover was pretty bad in the second half, sending fans either to their cars, up into the concourse, or to the west side of the stadium. As I was walking from the east side stands to the west side to watch the Mighty Sound of Maryland's halftime show, I noticed the line for ice cream was much longer than any other line, including the bathrooms. There was a very good turnout of UB fans, with many of them being family members of players.

I had a chance to meet some of the family members, which was great — lots of Buffalo players from the region (see my last story: https://ubin5.substack.com/p/three-scenarios-for-the-maryland). it's nice when UB plays within driving distance (I'm in NoVA). I was thinking about making the drive to the CCU game until I actually looked at a map and realized that driving to Buffalo would be shorter.

I'm going to try and get back out to Maryland Stadium (excuse me, Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium) when Mich. St. and Northwestern come to town. May try to finagle a ticket to the OSU game, assuming the prices aren't astronomical. I have faith in the UM faithful that a hot afternoon + non-conference opponent killed attendance.
